Artist / Photographer Joel Josh Afman is known for his experimental visual work, where he discovers beauty and melancholy through his lens.
Currently he is still studying at the HKU in Utrecht where he also lives. He specializes in capturing unique perspectives, which he does with the help of - and his knowledge about cameras. His work is known because of its tantalizing qualities and his experimental views.
Besides photography he writes poetry, illustrates and writes essays on various topics. In all of his works he tries to make the viewer think about the world around him. With a sharp eye for the unconventional he turns ordinary subjects into extraordinary subjects.
